Practical Building Conservation Skills: The Diagnostics and Repair of Old Buildings

A snapshot of a recently concluded 3-day training programme by NUS-ArClab for government officials from the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore. Held at the 140-year-old townhouse, now serving as the ArClab, various heritage professionals from Sydney, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sussex, Shrewsbury, and Singapore shared their knowledge and experiences of working with old buildings with the participants. The Department of Architecture is committed to continuing such programmes for the professionals and policymakers to build the heritage management capacity of Singapore.
